Maple Dr. Greenway is a 0.3-mile loop built in coordination with the construction of the Fountain City Skatepark. Presently, First Creek intersects the City park property, between the skatepark and the greenway.
Future plans for Maple Dr. Greenway include the construction of a large bridge over First Creek to connect directly to Fountain City Skatepark. The City/County Greenways Master Plan has plans for Maple Dr. Greenway as part of the major greenway along First Creek that will connect from Tommy Schumpert Park in Halls to Downtown Knoxville.
