  Safety Complex FAQs [PDF]
The City is investing $40 million to reconstruct vacant office buildings on the former Tennova hospital site off Broadway in North Knoxville to serve as a combined complex for the Police and Fire Departments, E911, Pension System offices and City Court operations.

Separately, the City is investing $6.5 million to clear the northern end of the former hospital campus for private redevelopment.

Mayor Madeline Rogero announced initial plans in her April 27, 2018 State of the City budget address.

The project is currently in the design stage. Construction is already underway.  City employees are tentatively scheduled to move in by early 2022.

Below is a recent overall site plan presented to Mayor Indya Kincannon on February 13, 2020.
