DIRECTIONS: I-75 North to Merchants Drive Exit. Right off exit, first right onto Central Avenue Pike, go to second traffic light and turn left onto Bruhin Road. Park and pool are 1/4 mile on right.

Since the 1950s, Inskip Swimming Pool, located within Inskip Park, has offered a safe, family-friendly atmosphere to play and swim in the Knoxville community. The Pool offers a variety of aquatic programs that include recreation swim, private rentals, swim lessons, and an annual special event for dog lovers Doggie Dip Day [PDF].  Facility attractions include a high diving board, 2 low diving boards, wading pool, snack bar, sand volleyball court, 3 covered pavilions, and a large bi-level deck with picnic tables and benches.


IMPORTANT DATES

 POOL OPENS - Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, May 24, 2025)
 POOL CLOSES FOR SEASON after Labor Day (Monday, September 3, 2024 was last day open for 2024 Season)
 WEEKENDS ONLY once Knox County Schools return to session (August 8th through Labor Day)


ADMISSION RATES

 STANDARD ADMISSION - $4 per person per visit (includes adult, children, spectators)
 SPLASH PASSES available for frequent visitors.  10 admissions for $33 and 20 admissions for $60.  Splash Pass Flyer [PDF]
 GROUP RATES available if pre-approved.   Groups (such as daycares, summer camps, schools, church groups with staff/chaperones) of 10 or more must be pre-approved by filling out this Group Request Form in advance.  Group discounts available if group is scheduled and pre-approved.

POOL RULES

1) All children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult 18 yrs or older
2) No food or drink in pool area
3) No alcoholic beverages on premises
4) Only appropriate swimming attire allowed (What to Wear & Not to Wear [PDF])
5) No flotation devices or foreign objects allowed in pool
6) No running in pool area
7) No diving
8) No smoking in pool area
9) No glass in pool area
10) No horseplay
11) No firearms or knives
12) Swim pants/diapers required for all children not toilet trained

PARK RULES & REGULATIONS


1.) For the protection of our park and the safety of its users, the following are prohibited:
  • No Large Flotation Devices Allowed at Inskip Pool
  • No Swimming in Street Clothes Allowed at Inskip Pool (What to Wear & Not Wear [PDF])
  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No open fires
  • No hitting golf balls anywhere in the park
  • No motorized vehicles in park
  • No equestrian activity
2.) Per city ordinance, all animals must be maintained on a leash.
3.) Please be respectful of other trail users.
4.) Please help to keep our parks beautiful by disposing trash in proper receptacles.
5.) Hours - Open dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted.
