The Rules of Procedure and Charter Review Task Force is a special committee of City Council. It was established by resolution of City Council on January 7, 2025. City Council has tasked it to do the following:
- Review the Knoxville City Code , Chapter 7.5, Article II-Rules of Procedure and possibly make recommendations for amendments to the rules. It may also consider and recommend establishing a Rules of Procedure Committee for future reviews.
- Consider and possibly make a recommendation for the establishment of a Charter Review Committee for future Charter considerations.

PUBLIC COMMENT
The Task Force has a period of public comment at the beginning of each meeting.
- Persons wishing to speak my signup by phoning or emailing the City Council Office at 865-215-2075 or [email protected]. Signups may also be made in person before the meeting.
- The list of speakers closes once the meeting is called to order.
- Persons wishing to speak will provide their name, address, and agenda item topic they wish to speak to.
- Up to three speakers are allowed on each agenda item.
- Up to two minutes are allowed per speaker.

MEETINGS SCHEDULE
This Task Force is currently scheduled to hold monthly meetings over the next nine months. It will meet at 3:30pm on February 18, March 18, April 15, May 27, June 24, July 22, August 19, September 16, and October 14.
