The Civil Engineering Division provides professional civil engineering and surveying services to support the planning, design, and construction of City Infrastructure and other City Initiatives.

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and Manage construction of all City infrastructure projects through a combination of in-house expertise and professional service contracts.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of city infrastructure withing the public right-of-way (ROW)
Review plans and coordinates ROW and street cut permits.
Maintain standard drawings, construction details, and technical specifications for use on city contracts and ensures thal all work within the ROW meet or exceed the City's standard details and technical specifications.
Coordinate with neighborhood groups, city council, utility providers, developers, contractors, and state and local agencies.
Perform surveys for city projects and maintains a growing city-wide survey control network of 3D survey control points that is based on the same grid system used by KGIS. This helps engineers, surveyors, developers, and others to perform accurate work.
