Hill Avenue in front of the City County Building downtown will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 thru Monday, Jan. 2.
A new cooling tower will be installed on the roof of the building during this closure. Also the old cooling tower, some scaffolding, and old boilers will be removed from the rooftop. A large crane will be brought in for this removal.
Tenants will not be allowed on the 5th and 6th floors from approximately 5 p.m. on Dec. 23 thru Dec. 26 for safety reasons during the removal process.
The entrances and exit to the City County Building parking garage on each end will remain open, however, traffic will not be able to cross thru Hill Avenue. Pedestrian access will be available to the municipal building's Hill Avenue entrance.
