Directions: From I-40, take James White Pkwy exit (388A) and stay to the left to continue on James White Parkway. Cross over the TN River and take the Sevier Ave./Hillwood Dr. Exit. Turn Left onto Sevier Ave. (turns into Hillwood Dr.). Turn right onto Island Home Ave. (at bottom of hill). Take the first left onto McClure Ln. just passed Ijams Nature Center. Follow signs to the WMA. A TWRA gravel parking lot is to the right at the end of McClure Lane.

PARK ACCESS:  The Perimeter Trail, defined as the Will Skelton Greenway, Whaley Trail, and Western Perimeter Trail, is open year round.  All other trails are only open to hunters from September 1 to May 31.

LIMITED ACCESS AREAS:  All other trails, including the interior trails, are only open to hunters from September 1 to May 31.   TWRA offers a High Impact Habitat Conservation permit.  Please contact TWRA directly for more information.

AREA RULES (from the TWRA Hunting Guide):
-  No hooved animal riding.
-  All animals accompanied by a non-hunting person are required to be leashed.
-  No paintball guns or accessories.
-  No motorized vehicles.
-  Shotguns, muzzleloader, and archery equipment only.
-  Park Hours:  The area closes one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise, except for raccoon and opossum hunters and scheduled events.

The Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area is owned by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and is located within City of Knoxville limits. Please contact the TWRA East Tennessee office at 1-800-332-0900 with any questions concerning this area. A portion of the City of Knoxville's 3.5-mile Will Skelton Greenway runs through the Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area.
