Boright Park

Boright Park was an avenue space between two streets that had enough land to support a small park for this North Knoxville community. Plenty of new trees line the park and the whole area is grassed and a paved sidewalk loops the park.

There is a playground area and picnic tables for the local families in the Whittle Springs area. The park is located between Boright Avenue and Boright Place.

HISTORY OF THE PARK

Boright Park is named after Washington and Christine Boright who moved to Knoxville from Minnesota in the mid-1880s.  The Borights owned land in the area of the current park which was called "Boright's Forest Dale Addition".
