We hope you enjoyed your Labor Day Weekend!
Our first Trolleys on Tap Listening Session is scheduled for this Thursday, September 10th at Flow (603 West Main). This will be a morning event – 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. - so stop by and grab some delicious coffee and chat with us.
So, what else are we doing when we’re not in listening sessions? We’re looking at our trolley data. We’re looking at some statistics like: What time of day are people riding? What day of the week is busy? Are people using our evening Friday and Saturday service? And most importantly, where are people going? We’ll be letting you know what we find out via this blog.
One thing to note as we go through this process: There are limitations to our trolley brainstorming - the trolley system’s geographical boundaries are established by ordinance, and the funding for the trolleys will remain budget neutral. The trolleys, by ordinance, operate within the Central Business Improvement District’s boundaries along with the UT and Ft. Sanders area and city-owned parking areas. And if service beyond those boundaries is something you’d like to see, just know that you have options: we have a pretty great regular route system in place to reach many popular locations – in many cases as frequent as the trolleys and running later. The vehicle just isn’t maroon. Or free - but it’s still an amazing bargain.
Meanwhile, feel free to take our online survey if you haven’t already! www.surveymonkey.com/r/KAT-Trolley.
Stay tuned next week: What did we hear from our first listening session?
