Week 8: Demolition Inside Professional Office Building Continues
As contractor crews get into their second month of work at the site of a new $40 million Public Safety Complex in North Knoxville, demolition continues on the 6th floor of the former Professional Office Building, while the East Wing foundation of the former St. Mary's Hospital is being removed.
In recent weeks, interior walls have come down on the 7th floor of the former hospital office building. Elsewhere on the construction site, concrete and rebar from the East Wing are being processed.
