KPD Investigating Deadly Shooting at Harb’s Market
Victim and Suspect Identified from Harb’s Market Shooting (July 16, 2022, 3:10 p.m.)
The victim from the shooting that occurred at Harb’s Market on Burnside Street on Friday night has been identified as Erreese King Jr., 33 of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Violent Crimes Unit investigators have identified the suspect as Christopher David Price, 36 of Knoxville, and a warrant has been issued charging Price with first degree murder. At this time, Price is not in custody and efforts to locate him are ongoing. Price, who should be considered armed and dangerous, could be driving the pictured black 2017 Mercedes Benz S550 with a California tag.

Original News Release
At around 8 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the Harb’s Market at 3001 Burnside Street in reference to a shooting with a victim. Officers arrived on scene and found a man inside of the store who had been shot. The victim was transported to the UT Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Violent Crimes Unit investigators responded to the scene to begin the investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, the unidentified suspect entered the store, shot the victim for reasons that remain under investigation and then fled the scene prior to officer arrival. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Additional information will be released as the investigation progresses.
