Florida Murder Suspect Captured in Knoxville on Thursday
On Thursday afternoon, KPD Violent Crimes Unit investigators working alongside the U.S. Marshals Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force and Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Christopher Michael Hice, age 42. Hice, who was wanted out of Palm Beach County, Florida for second-degree murder, was taken into custody in the 8400 block of Wood Road in Corryton, Tennessee.
Hice is also a suspect in a murder that occurred in Knoxville in early 2018.
The Knoxville Police Department is grateful for the invaluable assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Beach County investigators. Without their help, the successful apprehension of this wanted fugitive would not have been possible.
