Suspect Identified and Arrested from Magnolia Avenue Hit-and-Run Crash
The suspect from the hit-and-run crash that occurred on March 17 at Magnolia Avenue and Bertrand Street, which seriously injured a 31-year-old motorcyclist, has been identified and arrested. The suspect was identified as Calvin Thomas Jr., 65 of Knoxville. Thomas Jr., who is the registered owner of the Toyota Echo that was involved in the crash, turned himself in on Friday morning on the following charges:
Leaving the scene of an injury accident
Duty to render aid and give information
Driving on a suspended license
Failure to provide proof of financial responsibility
Failure to yield the right of way
