Drug and Weapon Arrests for ...
Drug and Weapon Arrests for Week of November 1
In the first week of November, Knoxville Police Department officers remained active in their efforts to take drugs and guns off of the street.
In a review of incident reports submitted by KPD officers from Monday, November 1 through Sunday, November 7, officers arrested a total of 54 individuals ranging from 18-63 years of age for drug or weapon charges. Those arrests resulted in a total of 19 felony charges and 103 misdemeanor charges. Additionally, officers confiscated seven firearms that were possessed in violation of state law, over 40 grams of presumed heroin, over 135 grams of meth, 55 grams of pills and nearly 90 individual pieces of drug paraphernalia.
The charges from those arrests included six for unlawful possession of a weapon, two for convicted felon in possession of a handgun, 12 for manufacture, sale or delivery of a controlled substance, 13 for outstanding warrants, five for assault and two for auto theft among a litany of additional charges.
KPD officers are deeply committed to the safety and well-being of the Knoxville community and it is a priority of our department to take deadly narcotics off of the street as well as firearms from those who wish to do harm. In just the month of October, KPD officers confiscated at least 35 firearms that were illegally possessed and over 230 grams of heroin, 165 grams of meth, and 115 grams of cocaine.
The efforts of KPD efforts to keep Knoxville safe will not cease. And we want and need the community’s continued assistance to help us keep Knoxville safe. If you have information regarding drug activity or any other criminal matters, East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers is available 24/7/365 by phone at 1-800-222-8477, online at

or via the P3 Tips mobile app. Tipsters will always remain completely anonymous and be eligible to receive a cash reward if that information leads to an arrest or the confiscation of narcotics.
