Drug and Weapon Arrests for ...
Drug and Weapon Arrests for Week of September 6
This past week, Knoxville Police Department officers kept working hard to take drugs and guns off of the street. According to KPD incident reports, from Monday, September 6 through Sunday, September 12, officers arrested 58 individuals ranging from 21 years old to 64 years old for drug or weapon charges. In total, officers confiscated at least nine firearms that were possessed in violation of state law, over 52 grams of presumed heroin, nearly 52 grams of presumed cocaine, over 16 grams of presumed meth, more than 140 pills, 237 grams of marijuana and over $5,300 in U.S. currency. Among a multitude of additional charges, the charges from those arrests included possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (3), unlawful possession of a weapon (3), convicted felon in possession of a handgun (2), manufacture, sell or delivery of controlled substance (11), auto theft (4) and outstanding warrants (34).
This is the result of the KPD’s continued focus on addressing and preventing both violent crime and overdose deaths, which are on track to surpass last year’s total here in Knox County. Remember that it takes everyone to keep Knoxville safe – public safety is a shared responsibility. If you have information regarding the possible distribution of illegal narcotics, East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers is available anytime day or night by phone at 1-800-222-8477, online at

or via the free mobile app P3 Tips. Tipsters will remain anonymous. By submitting a tip, you will be eligible to receive a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest or the seizure of narcotics, and you could very well help to save a life.
