Homicide investigation into ...
Homicide investigation into body found in South Knoxville underway
The Knoxville Police Department Violent Crimes Unit is now conducting a homicide investigation into the body that was located in South Knoxville by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday.
The body, which has been identified as 26-year-old Emanuel Turner of Knoxville, Tennessee, was found off Dick Ford Road on February 23. The preliminary investigation determined that Turner was likely murdered within Knoxville city limits and dropped in a wooded area off Dick Ford Road.
The investigation has been turned over to the KPD Violent Crimes Unit. That investigation is proceeding and there is no further information at this time.
