Lakeshore Park Phase I Progresses to Mid-Point of Construction

Lakeshore Park has reached a mid-point of construction in the $25 million Phase I of the Lakeshore Park Master Plan.

As of Friday, August 25, 2017, a section of road at the northeast hilltop of the park will be closed for ongoing construction. Both the Lyons View Pike and the Northshore Drive entrances to the park will remain open, and detour signage will assist drivers in navigating around construction.

Most Phase I construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2017. View the "Lakeshore Park Construction Update 8.24.17" video above to see the progress in the scenic Lakeshore Park, including:
  • Marble Hall and Pavilion (and corresponding new restrooms and parking lot)
  • Hank Rappe Playground
  • Two additional miles of greenway to the park's existing 2.25 miles of greenways
  • Lakeshore Park Administration Building
  • Large multi-purpose festival lawn with restrooms and parking lot
