Save Our Sons hosts Morningside Community Job Fair
With this smile, Community Relations Outreach Manager Kevin Perry greeted approximately 150 guests at the Morningside Community Center Job Fair, hosted Thursday, April 27, by the City’s Save Our Sons initiative. SEEED (Socially Equal Energy Efficient Development) hosted the event, designed to help people find jobs, prepare their resumes, and get assistance with background checks and record expungement.
Several area businesses, including Goodwill Industries, Knoxville Area Urban League, Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB), Denny’s, Newell (Rubbermaid), and Crowne Plaza attended to talk to job seekers. In fact, Rubbermaid hired several people on the spot.
