City Parks and Recreation Dept. Accepting Challenge Grant Applications 
The City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for its 2015-16 Challenge Grant Program, which offers grants to nonprofit projects associated with public parks or recreation facilities within the City limits. This is a great way for local community groups to receive financial assistance for efforts such as new playground equipment or beautifying efforts for local parks.
