KFD's Summer Long "Open House" Begins Saturday, May 14,2016

The Knoxville Fire Department will begin hosting their summer long "open house" events beginning Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at East Knoxville's Fire Station number 4, 2300 Linden Ave.

During the open house events, the community is invited to learn CPR from firefighters who use these skills on a daily basis throughout the city, practice fire extinguishing techniques with a fire extinguisher simulator, schedule smoke alarm installations, enjoy a station tour and light refreshments.

In addition, firefighters will be available to check the blood pressure of attendees.

KFD's mission is to educate the public, teach lifesaving skills and continue outreach and connecting to Knoxville communities as a good neighbor.
