Knoxville's sixth Open Streets event will feature a little bit of everything - a ninja obstacle course, derby demos by the Hard Knox Roller Girls, super-sized games, a bike parade and more.
The 2-6 p.m. Sunday, May 20, event returns to Sevier Avenue and the South Waterfront. Knoxvillians are invited to walk, bike, jog or dance their way along the commercial corridor of the South Waterfront and continue on to Suttree Landing Park. The roads will be closed to motorized traffic, allowing revelers a day of playing, exercising, socializing and shopping in the street – all on foot or two wheels.
Open Streets Knoxville, hosted by Bike Walk Knoxville with support from the City of Knoxville, Knoxville Regional TPO, Visit Knoxville and Knox County, aims to promote physical activity and community interaction during these free community events.
