Video: Hundreds of bicyclist...
Video: Hundreds of bicyclists ride in Tour de Lights parade
The temperature hovered around freezing as decorated bicyclists gathered in Market Square in anticipation of the 10th Tour de Lights ride on Friday, December 17. Too cold? Not for these fun-loving bicyclists. The five-mile ride exits Wall Avenue down Gay Street and rolls through Emory Place, Fourth & Gill, Old North and back downtown. Participants numbered in the hundreds, possible even the 1,000 anticipated. You be the judge!
Costume contest winners were announced at the end of the ride:
Best costume - Adult: The Naughty Grinches
Runner Up: David & Debbie Stair - Christmas Trees
Best costume - Child: Zack & Zoey Schade - O Christmas Tree
Runner Up: Eloise Wimmer
